What a great way to get involved in the 2012 Olympics?
Surrey County Council is calling for Walton-on-Thames residents to volunteer as Surrey Ambassadors on the four day Olympic cycle events and torch relay.
More than a million people are expected to visit Surrey during the 2012 Games and up to 450 ambassadors are needed to welcome visitors and provide interesting and useful information across the county.
Volunteers will be at key locations along the cycle route or at railway stations to give directions, provide information about the Olympic events, direct spectators to facilities and encourage them to visit attractions and events taking place during and after the games.
To be in with a chance you need to be 18 or over and be able to commit to at least two days of five hours, between July 20, and August 1. Applications close on Tuesday, January 31. For more information and to apply log on to http://tinyurl.com/7mdb6re
