fantastic food
I have sampled the food at the Royal George in Hersham many times since the refurb was completed last year and have to say the food is possibly the best pub food i have eaten in the last few years . The thai food is amazing and the sunday roasts are to die for ! The staff are very amusing aswell..

Best Roast Dinner in Walton and Best Thai food outside Thailand
The Royal George in Hersham is the best pub for a Sunday roast and I have tried a few! The portions are huge and the gravy is delicious. On a week day the Thai food is prepared and made fresh. It has been said by many travellers that it is the 'best Thai they've had outside of Thailand'.
The pub is ran by Ray and Sandra. It is spacious but also has a cosy, family-friendly feel. You can warm up by the roaring fire or sit in the old public bar area for some peace and quiet.
Tuesday nights are packed for it's weekly pub quiz compered by Ray, who does like a joke. All you have to pay to join in is £1. Proceeds often go towards the Princess Alice Hospice and you even get a tray of roast potatoes, sausages and sandwiches for joining in.
Everyone who comes here is friendly and chatty. This has to be one of the Best pubs in Elmbridge.
