Some really nice dishes at the place - I recommend the korma, which is delicious and the meat is just right. The service is second to none, attentive and friendly. Prices were very reasonable and it's a good place to go in a small group as there's a nice buzz to the place.
Fed up with ordering pizza and fancying something a little hotter, my girlfriend and I decided to pop out and try the recently (well I say recent but it might not be that recent) opened Tamarind Indian Restaurant in New Zealand Avenue.
It was quite early on in the evening, I’d say approx 6.30pm and already it had a few other diners – mainly couples.
We ordered our beers and a couple of rounds of poppadoms each and the wigglywoo of course (chutneys, onion and mint raita), then shared a starter of Onion Bhaji. I had the Chicken Korma and my girlfriend had the Lamb Bhuna. Yum yum yum.
Friendly staff with excellent customer service – I really thought we were made to feel welcome – we will defiantly be back again – and next time I’m going to try something from their House Specialties. All I can add it’s a shame they don’t deliver!!
